...if I would only know the answer

Lately some friends of mine were asking me how to become spiritually balanced, to overcome depression and constant sleepy state of mind, how to feel a spring in the heart and happily smile wide… oh, if I would only know the answer!

Being stuck in life or work circumstances, especially if it lasts long enough, is painful. You start losing confidence in yourself and any belief that ‘stuck’ feeling will ever go away. Hmmm, could be understandable if the suffering person would be a total looser… but when you see in front of you an outstanding individual, highly professional, talented and one-of-a-kind who is never scared to choose a hard path towards the top of success, something inside your brain start questioning “how come?”.

I’ve found this article at HBS blog not so long ago - http://hbswk.hbs.edu/item/5966.html - that may be of an interest [help?!] if you face such a challenge. Though, my personal key to gaining happiness back is to keep a distance and not letting the negative energy take over the internal harmony… even if it is damn hard to do.

Though, admit the outcome: "Without it we cannot grow, change, and—eventually—live more fully in a larger world," [Dr. Timothy Butler, “Getting Unstuck: How Dead Ends Become New Paths” (Harvard Business School Press)].
